National supercomputer No. 6 to begin operation in December, researchers sought

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT is seeking researchers from industry, academia and research institutes ahead of the official launch of national supercomputer No. 6 in December. The ministry and KISTI will run a user call under a 2026 support programme from Sept. 9. Resources will be allocated across national strategy, R&D innovation and industrial innovation programmes. Applications for official service open on Sept. 28, with a pilot service planned from late October.

LG Electronics volunteers for second straight year to improve education environment in Myanmar

LG Electronics employees are volunteering in Myanmar for a second consecutive year to help improve education conditions for young people. The company’s Life’s Good volunteer group is carrying out activities from Sept. 7 to 11 at the Takeda Education Center in Yangon. Volunteers are building a youth vocational training facility and rest area, painting and drawing murals, and working on an outer wall. They also plan to deliver 400 kits of daily necessities to nearby low-income households.
