Google unveils open model Gemma 4, supports complex reasoning on low-power devices

Google has unveiled its open-weight AI model family Gemma 4, SiliconANGLE reported on Wednesday. The company said Gemma 4 is based on the same architecture as Gemini 3 and can run complex reasoning and autonomous AI agents locally on low-power devices such as workstations and smartphones. The lineup includes E2B, E4B, a 26B Mixture of Experts model and a 31B dense model. It supports tool integration and multimodal inputs.

Google Vids adds prompt-based avatar direction feature

Google has added a feature to its video editing app Google Vids that lets users direct avatar actions and change their appearance using text prompts, TechCrunch reported on Wednesday. The update also adds support for Veo 3.1, direct export to YouTube and a Chrome extension-based screen recording tool. Vids can generate 8-second clips, with monthly free and paid generation limits depending on account type.

ElevenLabs launches ElevenMusic AI music generation app for iOS

Audio AI startup ElevenLabs has launched ElevenMusic, an AI music generation app for iOS, TechCrunch reported on Wednesday. Users can create music from text prompts, listen to or remix AI-generated songs by others, and access features such as live stations, pre-built albums and mood-based daily mixes. The app is free with a daily limit of 7 songs. A Pro plan costs $9.99 a month or $95.90 a year.
