Bithumb warns of malware disguised as fake AI auto-trading tools, launches September cybersecurity campaign

Bithumb said on Wednesday it is launching a September cybersecurity campaign to prevent malware infections disguised as AI auto-trading programs or investment analysis tools. It said scammers lure users with promises of high returns or loss-free automated trading and induce installation of unauthorised software containing malware. Infection can leak IDs, passwords, session cookies, API keys, and private wallet keys and seed phrases. Bithumb urged users to use official channels and avoid suspicious downloads.

Steak 'n Shake says same-store sales at franchise partners up 19 percent after bitcoin payments

U.S. restaurant chain Steak 'n Shake said same-store sales at its franchise partner outlets were up 19 percent year on year so far in the third quarter after it introduced bitcoin payments. The company disclosed the figure on X, though it has not been verified in a filing by parent Biglari Holdings and the quarter is not over. Biglari has reported higher same-store sales in the first and second quarters.
