AI, cloud and security company MegazoneCloud said it supported the second MakersPub Game Jam, a game developer collaboration event hosted by game developer Mokum from Oct. 23 to 25 at the Megazone Industry-Academia-Research Center in Gwacheon.
MegazoneCloud provided development space at the centre as the venue and ran expert sessions to share technology and service operation know-how needed by game developers.
MegazoneCloud also held dedicated sessions for participating developers and introduced services to help game developers focus on development. These included support for adopting AI technologies, membership-based security management, infrastructure cost optimisation through managed service provider and FinOps consulting, and game-focused technical support based on Game Managed Service.
Cha Sang-geun (차상근), COO of Basakhan Soft, which took first place overall at the event, said the team was able to complete the game and achieve a good result thanks to teammates who worked through issues and collaborated over 2 nights and 3 days. He said it was a meaningful time in which he gained new perspectives and stimulation by networking with peers in the indie game industry, and said he would continue to present more attractive and more complete games based on the experience.
Kim Do-hyung (김도형), head of MegazoneCloud's Emerging Business & Game Unit, said the game jam was a place for practitioners in the game industry to share creative ideas and technologies and explore new business possibilities. He said MegazoneCloud would support the technologies and services needed across game development, from adopting AI technologies to operating cloud infrastructure, security management and cost optimisation, so game companies can focus on strengthening service competitiveness.
