Toss Securities launches PC version of AI earnings call service

Toss Securities said on Feb. 2 it will provide its AI-based real-time translation service for overseas companies’ earnings calls on its web-based trading service, Toss Securities PC. The company said it is the first in South Korea’s securities industry to offer real-time earnings presentations for foreign companies in a PC environment. Investors can compare real-time translations with official IR materials on one screen. The service reached 1,500,000 cumulative users as of January.

SK Telecom strengthens practical security response manual, updates information protection guidelines

SK Telecom said on Feb. 2 it will upgrade a range of security-related areas by shifting to practical security governance and continuing security innovation in response to rising cyber threats. It updated 17 information protection processing guidelines by incorporating ISO27002 into its ISO27001-based framework, and added RACI role definitions and incident runbooks. It also expanded partner security requirements, introduced security schedules in contracts and systemised compliance pledges for infrastructure partners.

KT installs automated weather observation equipment at Wondong Wetland using IoT technology

KT said it installed automated weather observation equipment at Wondong Wetland in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province, to support research by the National Institute of Ecology for World Wetlands Day. It is KT’s first case of applying its IoT communications technology at a wetland site for biodiversity conservation. The solar-powered system can remotely transmit real-time data on key weather elements. KT plans to expand field-based conservation work with partners.
