Korea Communications Agency (KCA) said it will operate the Ultra Gap Korea Pavilion at the Japan IT Week Spring exhibition, held at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan from April 8 to 10.
The exhibition is Japan’s largest integrated IT trade show, with four IT expos held at the same time covering artificial intelligence (AI) and business automation, software and app development, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and information security.
KCA will run the Korea pavilion with 5 startups — G1won Tech, Onae People, Espresso, Qubit Security and Fairytech — to showcase South Korean security and network technology and solutions.
In addition to the Korea pavilion, KCA will also run an Ultra Gap promotion hall to publicise 40 Ultra Gap Project security and network companies, including ICTK, Checkmul and Whatap Labs, which are participating separately. It will support efforts to track trends in Japan’s security industry and build local networks.
KCA President Sang-hoon Lee (이상훈) said the exhibition will serve as a cornerstone for South Korea’s Ultra Gap companies entering the Japanese market. He said KCA will continue efforts to help Ultra Gap startups grow and strengthen competitiveness.
