Korea Savings Banks Federation holds tteokguk sharing volunteer event
The Korea Savings Banks Federation said on Wednesday its chairman Oh Hwa-kyung visited the Ahyeon Senior Welfare Center near Aeogae Station with employees ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. It said they served warm tteokguk, a rice cake soup, to elderly people. The federation also supported replacing old wheelchairs and switching out worn kitchen equipment, providing practical help for seniors with limited mobility.

Cable TV rolls out local specials for Lunar New Year, from opera to travel
South Korea\'s cable TV industry will roll out a large lineup of Lunar New Year holiday specials featuring local themes across news, education and culture, it said on Feb. 12. LG HelloVision and SK Broadband plan news and original shows, along with features on holiday food and traditional markets. D’LIVE, CMB, HCN, Seokyung Broadcasting and KCTV Gwangju Broadcasting are also scheduling opera, talk shows and documentaries on regional issues.

KT provides support for underprivileged during Lunar New Year through \'On Sharing\' volunteering
KT said on Wednesday it carried out nationwide \'On Sharing\' volunteering activities for the Lunar New Year holiday to support underprivileged groups. The programme, held during Lunar New Year and Chuseok, provided meals to older people and vulnerable groups and combined this with digital safety education, including voice phishing prevention. KT employees served lunch to about 600 older people in Seoul, while regional offices ran local sharing activities.
