BitMine buys another 10,000 ether, lifts total holdings to 5.79 million

BitMine Immersion Technologies bought about 10,000 additional ether over the past week, bringing its total holdings to 5.79 million ether, or about 4.8 percent of Ethereum’s total supply. It said about 4.9 million ether, roughly 85 percent of its holdings, is staked through its validator operations. BitMine estimated annualised staking rewards of about $299 million if all ether is deployed to its staking infrastructure and partner validators.

Sh Suhyup Bank posts 70 trillion won in assets in first half, 203.4 billion won pre-tax profit

Sh Suhyup Bank recorded total assets of 70 trillion won in the first half of this year and pre-tax net profit of 203.4 billion won. The bank said assets rose 6.7 trillion won from the end of last year, while pre-tax profit increased 7.0 billion won from a year earlier. It plans to strengthen loan asset quality and internal controls in the second half and pursue commercialization of new business ideas proposed by employees.

Hana Financial posts 2.4029 trillion won first-half net profit, fee income up 37.7 percent

Hana Financial Group posted a first-half net profit of 2.4029 trillion won, up 4.4 percent from a year earlier, helped by higher fee income and a more diversified earnings mix. It absorbed one-off costs including provisions tied to corporate rehabilitation and foreign-exchange translation losses. Core profit rose 13 percent to 6.2956 trillion won, with fee income up 37.7 percent. Hana Bank net profit rose 1.7 percent.
