K-AI Partnership launches to mobilise private sector capabilities
A private-sector artificial intelligence alliance has launched in South Korea, aiming to become a collaboration platform to create new business opportunities and new global markets in the AI era. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea AI & Software Industry Association held the launch ceremony for the K-AI Partnership in Seoul on April 28. About 150 companies and institutions, including AI developers and suppliers and demand firms in manufacturing and finance, are participating.

Conditions for the fastest AI-native engineering team
Andrew Ng (응) of Stanford University posted a summary of how AI-native software teams operate differently from traditional teams. He wrote that the biggest difference is using coding agents to build products much faster, which changes team structure, roles and decision-making. As development speeds up, planning, design, marketing and compliance can become bottlenecks. Ng urged engineers to learn product management skills and product managers to learn how to build. He also stressed the value of working in the same space for faster communication.

HP pushes AI workstations to cut cloud reliance, expand local computing
HP is positioning so-called agentic AI as a core element of the next workplace and is expanding related hardware and on-device software. The company unveiled new AI PCs and workstation products in Seoul, along with its on-device AI platform, HP IQ. HP said the shift toward AI that understands and executes tasks increases demand for local computing, reducing cloud reliance while strengthening security and performance.
