[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] Privacy blockchain Zcash will apply its NU7 upgrade, which triples payment speed, around Nov. 5.
Coindesk reported that NU7 will cut the block interval to 25 seconds from 75 seconds.
If an exchange releases Zcash (ZEC) after three deposit confirmations, the waiting time will fall to about 1 minute 15 seconds from nearly 4 minutes. NU7 has been running on a test network since early October.
There are also steps remaining before it is applied. Coindesk reported that the proposal has not yet been reflected in the release specifications, and it must also be included in node software for it to be applied.
