Samsung to pay 1.3 trillion won early to suppliers

Samsung said on Sept. 14 it will pay 1.3 trillion won in payments for goods to partner companies ahead of the Chuseok holiday and run an online marketplace for employees. Thirteen affiliates, including Samsung Electronics, will participate, paying about seven days earlier than planned. Samsung said the early payment amount is up about 110 billion won from last Chuseok. Seventeen affiliates will join the online market selling specialty products and smart-factory goods.

LG CNS to hire hundreds of entry-level staff across 9 roles including AI and robotics

LG CNS said on Wednesday it will hire hundreds of entry-level employees in the second half of the year across nine roles, including AI and robotics. Open positions include consulting, DX engineer, cloud application modernization, architect, ERP, smart factory and convergence engineer. Applications are accepted through Sept. 14. Candidates with at least a bachelor\'s degree, or those graduating in February 2027, can apply regardless of major.

MSIT, MSS cooperate on physical AI manufacturing innovation, speeding adoption by SMEs

South Korea will strengthen cross-agency cooperation to expand the adoption of physical AI by small and medium-sized manufacturers, covering technology development, demonstrations and commercialisation. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups visited KAIST’s Physical AI Demonstration Lab and held a meeting with technology suppliers and manufacturing demand firms. The ministries plan to connect suppliers and users through the Physical AI Alliance and support demand-driven development and demonstrations.
