Schneider Electric Korea has been registered as an official supplier on the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ smart factory project management system. The registration allows it to take part in smart factory construction projects and provide related solutions for small and midsized manufacturers in South Korea.
Schneider Electric Korea said on Thursday it plans to use the supplier registration to provide smart manufacturing solutions and services to manufacturers in South Korea to digitise production sites, optimise energy efficiency and improve operational stability.
The ministry’s smart factory support project is a government programme aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of small and midsized manufacturers in South Korea. It aims to boost productivity, improve quality and enhance energy efficiency at the same time. Manufacturers can use the Schneider Electric platform to select verified suppliers and use government subsidies to pursue smart factory construction.
Schneider Electric Korea provides solutions based on its industrial automation platform, EcoStruxure, to integrate and manage real-time data on factory power, equipment and production.
A Schneider Electric Korea official said the selection as a smart factory supplier would be an important opportunity to support sustainable growth and digital innovation in South Korea’s manufacturing industry. The official added the company would continue contributing to strengthening manufacturers’ competitiveness as a key partner leading AI-based smart manufacturing and energy efficiency innovation.
