LG CNS took part in the 'IoT Tech Expo 2026' held in San Jose, California, on May 18-19 local time, and showcased its AI smart factory solution, Factova.

Factova is a solution that applies technologies such as AI, big data and IoT across the entire manufacturing process to optimise production operations and make factories more intelligent. LG CNS said it will help small and mid-sized manufacturers adopt Factova, which has been verified at large-scale manufacturing sites.

The core solution is 'Factova MES'. Factova MES is a manufacturing execution solution that integrates and manages the entire production flow. AI collects and analyses on-site manufacturing data in real time to reduce inefficiencies in the production process and help optimise factory operations.

LG CNS also introduced 'Factova Control', which integrates and manages production equipment data. Factova Control collects, standardises and centrally controls production equipment data from different manufacturers in real time.

LG CNS also introduced solutions for industries that require ultra-precision process management, such as semiconductors, displays, aerospace and medical devices.

The company said results are also emerging at domestic manufacturers that have adopted Factova. A battery plant achieved a pass rate of more than 90 percent within a month of adopting the solution, succeeding in stabilising operations in a short period, and cutting the cost of returns of defective products by about 70 percent, the company said.

Jae-hoon Shin (신재훈), managing director and head of LG CNS's smart factory business division, said the company is stepping up its push into the North American market based on its experience building and operating smart factories at large-scale manufacturing sites and its AX capabilities. He said LG CNS will support small and mid-sized manufacturers in implementing AI-based factory intelligence through its smart factory solutions.
