Can you keep using a router after firmware updates stop

Routers that no longer receive manufacturer firmware updates can continue to provide internet access if the hardware is still functioning. The risk is security, as new vulnerabilities may go unpatched for long periods and can be exploited for malicious traffic relays or to enlist devices into botnets. Users can reduce exposure by disabling remote management and changing administrator passwords. They should check model and hardware revision, confirm installed firmware and update status, and review vendor notices on support or end-of-life.

KT AI model routing technology ranks second in global benchmark

KT said on Sept. 27 that its in-house AI model routing technology, Auto Model Router, ranked second in a global public benchmark. The technology placed second overall on Router Arena, an evaluation platform developed by researchers at Rice University in the United States. Router Arena assesses AI routers using about 8,400 queries, measuring response accuracy, cost efficiency and robustness to input changes. KT plans to advance the technology and build a multi-model operating environment.

SpaceX to begin rolling out super-sized Starlink V3 satellites on Sept. 22

Elon Musk (일론 머스크), CEO of SpaceX, said deployment of the third-generation communications satellite Starlink V3 will begin this month. He said the constellation will ultimately provide more than 100 times the bandwidth of the current 11,000-satellite fleet. The comments are seen as targeting Starship’s 14th test flight on Sept. 22, which is planned to place 26 Starlink V3 satellites into orbit.
