PIPC releases public-sector AX privacy protection guidelines
South Korea\'s Personal Information Protection Commission released guidelines on protecting privacy in public-sector AX projects at the 11th meeting of ministers related to science and technology. The guide is meant to help public agencies identify and address personal data processing issues in advance. It outlines legal standards and safeguards based on real cases, divides implementation into three stages and lists 10 key checks. It also classifies public AX into three types and says requirements should be reviewed flexibly by context.

South Korea speeds up agentic AI ecosystem drive to open one-agent-per-person era
South Korea will speed up efforts to build an agentic AI ecosystem in which AI can plan autonomously and carry out tasks using external systems and tools. The Ministry of Science and ICT announced a joint interagency initiative focused on safety and trust, an open execution base and demand-led adoption. Plans include safety guidelines, evaluation tools, a private marketplace for verified agents, core AI operating system technology and industry consortium pilots.
