FuriosaAI sets up Singapore unit, steps up push into Asia-Pacific market

FuriosaAI said on Thursday it has established a local unit in Singapore to serve as a base for business development, sales and technical support across Asia-Pacific. The company said the move reflects expanding global commercial deployments of infrastructure based on its second-generation AI inference accelerator, Renegade. FuriosaAI plans to broaden cooperation with regional companies, governments, cloud providers and infrastructure partners to accelerate large-scale AI inference adoption.

Beluga says \'Today\'s Walnut\' is a basecamp for cognitive data, plans expansion into digital therapeutics

Cognitive-function startup Beluga plans to expand into digital therapeutics based on its brain-training game \'Today\'s Walnut\'. The company aims to analyse behaviour data generated during gameplay to assess users\' cognitive status and, over time, develop a digital therapeutic device for mild cognitive impairment. Beluga is jointly researching core AI models for a cognitive profiling platform with Kakao Games. It is also preparing a senior-focused version, an English release next year and longer-term work toward a 2028 digital therapeutic device.

Lightbits launches KV cache engine to boost GPU performance

Lightbits Labs has launched its AI inference software engine, Infera, aimed at improving inference performance and cost efficiency. The company says Infera expands KV cache data beyond limited high-bandwidth memory attached to GPUs and targets large language model operations with long context windows or many concurrent sessions. It manages KV cache across GPU memory, DRAM and NVMe storage using predictive prefetching and supplies context in small blocks.
