Fujifilm Korea appoints Yujiro Igarashi as CEO to strengthen imaging business in South Korea
Fujifilm Electronic Imaging Korea said on Tuesday it has appointed Yujiro Igarashi as its new chief executive. The company will run its South Korean unit under a leadership structure with Igarashi as CEO and Lim Hoon as president. It plans to strengthen competitiveness in its domestic imaging business and continue activities aimed at expanding photo and video culture. Igarashi joined Fujifilm in 1997 and has worked across the UK, headquarters and the Americas.

DJI launches Osmo 360 II in South Korea with 8K, 60fps 360-degree video
DJI has launched a new 360-degree camera in South Korea and began sales of the second-generation Osmo 360 II on Tuesday. The camera uses a square HDR image sensor that increases sensor utilisation by 25 percent while maintaining the same 360-degree imaging area. It is designed to cut power use and support shooting day and night. It also includes a replaceable lens and 105GB of internal storage.

GoPro to expand into AI and defense via $285 million deal with Starman Optical
GoPro said it signed a final merger agreement with privately held photonics company Starman Optical to expand into AI data centres and the defense market. Under the deal, Starman Optical will take a 90% stake and existing GoPro shareholders will hold 10%. Shareholders will receive $285 million in cash, or $1.14 per share. GoPro shares jumped 38% after the announcement and will remain listed on Nasdaq after closing, expected by year-end.
