Apple raises prices of older iPhones by $100 after iPhone 18 Pro unveiling
Apple raised prices of its previous-generation iPhones still on sale by $100 each. The increases apply to the iPhone 16, iPhone 17E, iPhone 17 and iPhone Air sold through Apple’s online store. The iPhone 16 rose to $799, returning to its 2024 launch price after earlier post-iPhone 17 discounts ended. Apple highlighted unchanged pricing for some new products at its event.

Apple iPhone Duo: How it compares with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8
Apple has unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, setting up a direct contest with Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Z Fold8. Both adopt a passport-like wide, short design and a 7.6-inch internal display, but they differ in performance claims, multitasking features and price. The two phones also differ in durability ratings, battery disclosures and biometric authentication.

Apple unveils foldable iPhone Duo starting at 3.29 million won in South Korea
Apple on Sept. 9 unveiled its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, in Cupertino, California. The device has a 19.3 cm internal display when unfolded and a 13.6 cm external display when folded, with the same aspect ratio on both screens. It uses Grade 5 titanium and an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. It runs iOS27 and uses an A20 Pro chip. In South Korea it starts at 3.29 million won, with preorders from Oct. 16 and sales from Oct. 23.
