Aptos Foundation to halve APT staking rewards, cap total supply at 2.1 billion

Aptos Foundation proposed cutting the annual APT staking reward rate to 2.6 percent from 5.19 percent, while raising gas fees by a factor of 10 and setting a total supply cap of 2.1 billion APT. It said it stakes 210 million APT, about 18 percent of current supply, permanently locked and not for sale or distribution, funding operations only from staking rewards. It also plans performance-linked ecosystem grants and may buy APT with cash and future revenue.

XRPL tops tokenised commodities with $2.2 billion net inflows, overtaking Ethereum

XRP Ledger (XRPL) has moved into the lead in tokenised commodity real-world assets, surpassing Ethereum, according to data cited by U.Today. Net inflows into XRPL-based tokenised commodities total $2.2 billion so far this year, versus $1.6 billion for Ethereum. October data also show Avalanche and BNB Chain trailing. Analysts attributed the gap to network design, lower transaction costs and faster settlement, and to energy-sector tokens driving activity.

LG CNS launches KITL digital asset infrastructure platform, to work with Circle and others

LG CNS launched a blockchain infrastructure platform called KITL that it said provides the infrastructure needed to build digital asset services such as stablecoins, tokenised securities and real-world assets. The company said KITL offers four functions: electronic wallets, transaction processing, fee payment on behalf of users and collection of transaction histories. LG CNS also said it built a global partner ecosystem by signing MOUs with five blockchain-related firms including Circle, Securitize, the Canton Foundation, Chainalysis and Chainlink.
