Layer 1 blockchain Solayer has launched a Visa-compatible physical card that allows users to make payments using their USDC balances, Cointelegraph reported on May 15.
The card supports online, offline and contactless payments. It also allows ATM withdrawals in supported regions.
Users can apply for the card through the Solayer Pay app. Existing users can get the card for free, while new users must pay a $20 annual activation fee.
The physical card expands the Solayer Pay platform launched in April 2025. Users can spend USDC in their Solayer Pay account directly worldwide through Visa’s payment infrastructure.
Solayer is developing InfiniSVM, a layer 1 network compatible with the Solana Virtual Machine. InfiniSVM targets on-chain applications that support high throughput and is designed to use Solana for gas fees.
