Toss FacePay reaches 9 million users, offers 20 percent rewards through year-end

Toss will run a promotion through the end of this year to encourage wider use of its facial recognition payment service, FacePay. Operator Viva Republica said it will expand payment benefits for FacePay users. FacePay allows payments using facial recognition without taking out a wallet or mobile phone, and has 9 million users as of this month. Eligible customers can earn 20 percent rewards for 30 days, with daily and total caps, alongside separate offers at selected merchants.

Naver secures Inspire Arena naming rights, to rebrand as Naver Arena from December

Naver has signed a naming-rights contract with Inspire Resort and will change the official name of Inspire Arena to Naver Arena at Inspire from December. Naver said the agreement takes effect in December and will run for three years, but it did not disclose the contract value. The partners plan to broaden cooperation from performances to on-site services and technology, including N Pay services and Naver Labs digital-twin-based AR navigation.

Tech Insight: Keep SaaS strengths but ditch the SaaS playbook

Shane Hegde, co-founder and CEO of creative asset management platform Air, said companies should keep SaaS strengths while abandoning the traditional SaaS playbook in the AI era. He described how Air’s initial AI push fell short because it remained trapped in SaaS habits. Air then shifted its core metric to Action Credit Units, tied fees to AI usage, refocused customer teams on driving AI adoption and changed product culture to engineer-led development. He said usage and growth rose sharply.
