Naver Pay is supplying corporate payment infrastructure to Hyconci, which operates Sidae Injae and other services, expanding its B2B payment business into the education sector. It will apply the service first within this year to 11 offline branches nationwide and to an online service, and it is reviewing ways to expand cooperation later to include facial-recognition-based access and attendance authentication.

Naver Pay said on Sept. 14 it signed a business agreement with Hyconci on Sept. 11 to improve payment and authentication environments for online and offline education services.

The companies will introduce the "Npay biz payment solution" to Hyconci’s online and offline education services. The Npay biz payment solution is a B2B service that provides payment and settlement infrastructure within a merchant’s own environment and supports building payment services tailored to the merchant brand.

It will be applied first within this year to 11 offline branches nationwide, including Sidae Injae Daechi, and to the Sidae InjaeC website that provides Sidae Injae content, then expanded step by step across services.

It supports payment methods including Npay Money and points, card payments, and payments linked to virtual accounts. The companies also plan to further discuss ways to enable branded simple payments within Hyconci’s services.

They are also reviewing cooperation in access and authentication beyond payments. One option is applying Naver Pay’s offline integrated terminal, Npay Connect, and its facial-recognition access and authentication service, Facesign, to verifying students and to access and attendance processes at Hyconci’s offline branches.

Naver Pay CEO Park Sang-jin (박상진) stressed, "We will cooperate so that education operators can improve operational efficiency and user convenience by using Npay technologies, including payments and authentication."
