Bitcoin rally loses steam, range-bound trading likely for now
Bitcoin has been capped by strong selling pressure in the $83,000 to $86,000 range, raising the possibility it will trade in a range for now. On-chain analytics firm Glassnode said the spot price is stuck between overhead resistance and lower support. It cited long-term holder selling in the upper band and strong buying support at $62,000 to $65,000 formed during summer trading. It also pointed to higher U.S. yields and muted spot ETF trading activity.

Bitcoin selling pressure clusters in low-$80,000s, with $83,000 a pivotal level
Bitcoin has struggled to turn $80,000 into support, while resistance is concentrated in the $81,000 to $86,000 range, Cointelegraph reported. Glassnode identified $83,000 to $86,000 as the first key supply zone, largely held by long-term holders who have not sold for at least six months. New sell liquidity has also accumulated in exchange order books. Multiple technical indicators cluster around the $80,000 area, thickening resistance.

Strategy holds 844,447 bitcoin but faces risks if funding dries up
An analysis says Strategy’s bitcoin accumulation strategy is driven more by its access to capital markets than by bitcoin’s price. The company is estimated to face about $1.76 billion a year in dividend and interest costs, which could become hard to cover without new funding unless it sells bitcoin. Researchers highlighted structural risks tied to about $22 billion in debt and preferred claims and said key indicators include preferred share prices and liquid assets.
