Mobileye founder to step down as CEO ahead of robotaxi push, leadership gap looms
Mobileye founder Amnon Shashua (암논 샤슈아) plans to step down as chief executive after about 30 years, remaining in the role until a successor is chosen. The change comes as Mobileye broadens its business into robotaxis and humanoid robots, beyond supplying chips to automakers. The company began as a computer-vision chip maker and later grew into a key supplier for safety and driver-assistance functions. Intel bought Mobileye for $15.3 billion in 2017 and remains its largest shareholder.

SKT, KAIST develop AI video compositing technology InsertAnywhere
SK Telecom and KAIST have jointly developed an AI video compositing technology called InsertAnywhere that can naturally insert products, props, characters or brand logos into existing footage. The system analyses 3D space and motion over time, including lighting, reflections and shadows, to blend images into a scene. SKT says it can cut tasks that took days to weeks down to hours and has automated more than 90 percent of the process. The technology was developed for SKT’s virtual PPL solution AdFlux, and the related paper was accepted to ECCV 2026.
