Smilegate 2025 operating profit 359.8 billion won, down 30 percent year on year

Smilegate said on April 14 its consolidated operating profit for 2025 fell 30.1 percent from a year earlier to 359.8 billion won, according to its audit report. Revenue declined 5.6 percent to 1.44 trillion won and net profit dropped 36.2 percent to 302.3 billion won. The company said higher costs for future investment, including new IP development, weighed on profit. It also disclosed total cash dividends of 168.4 billion won.

Michael Saylor says STRC dividends can be funded indefinitely if bitcoin rises 2 percent a year

Strategy said bitcoin would need to rise 2.05 percent a year for the company to maintain its preferred stock dividends over the long term. Blockchain outlet BeInCrypto reported that if bitcoin increases above that level over time, Strategy can keep paying preferred dividends without issuing new MSTR common shares. Strategy said STRC, a Series A perpetual preferred with a floating rate, currently offers an 11.5 percent yield and pays monthly cash dividends.

Value-up index outperforms KOSPI by 31.8 points; shareholder returns also active

The Korea Exchange said on Monday that 409 companies newly disclosed corporate value-enhancement plans in March, taking the cumulative total to 590 firms. Of the March disclosures, 405 were high-dividend companies benefiting from tax changes. Shareholder returns via treasury share cancellations were also active, with 99 firms disclosing cancellations in March. The value-up index closed at 2,248.59 on March 31, up 126.6 percent since Sept. 30, 2024.
