Qualcomm steps up push of AI glasses into industry and medical use

Qualcomm is moving its AI glasses into factories and clinics, targeting workers and medical staff who cannot easily use screen-based devices. At the Snapdragon Summit, it unveiled industrial safety glasses developed with INSPECS that add a camera and AI to standard protective eyewear. INSPECS introduced its first product, the Enterprise Frame, and Qualcomm said it invested in the company and provided the Snapdragon AR1+ Gen 1 platform and AI software. Qualcomm also announced the formation of a Personal AI Health Alliance involving medical and technology companies.

South Korea\'s three mobile carriers are expanding into robots and manufacturing as they pursue a shift into AI companies. They are accelerating development and commercialisation of “physical AI”, which perceives real-world environments and takes actions through robots or devices. SK Telecom is extending digital twin technology and pursuing robot data standardisation. KT is focusing on robot orchestration via its K RaaS platform and conducting industrial pilots. LG Uplus is linking voice-based AI to actions and testing network technologies.

Fixup Health upgrades remote rehabilitation monitoring solution with ambient AI

Digital healthcare company Fixup Health has launched RTM Solution 2.0, applying ambient AI to its remote rehabilitation treatment monitoring platform, it said on Wednesday. The company develops and operates an RTM solution used by U.S.-based medical institutions to manage patient rehabilitation and support insurance claims. The new ambient AI listens to clinic conversations, analyzes them in a medical context and automates documentation, including draft EMR notes, visit summaries and customized weekly homecare programs.
