Shinhan Financial to write off 500 billion won in delinquent debt, expand inclusive finance to 4.5 trillion won

Shinhan Financial Group plans an inclusive finance project worth 5 trillion won, including the write-off of 500 billion won in long-term delinquent debt to support vulnerable borrowers\' recovery. It will also expand inclusive financing for low-income people and small businesses to 4.5 trillion won by bringing forward next year\'s plan. Shinhan will restrict extensions of statutes of limitation on debt and broaden products and credit assessment models to support mid-to-low credit borrowers.

LG to step up cooperation with Nvidia to grow physical AI, AI infrastructure and mobility

LG and Nvidia will strengthen cooperation in physical AI, AI infrastructure and mobility, the companies said. They held a top management meeting on Monday at LG Twin Towers in Seoul attended by LG Corp CEO Koo Kwang-mo and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. The partnership aims to combine Nvidia’s end-to-end AI platform with LG Group capabilities across appliances, robots, mobility parts, smart spaces and AI infrastructure to connect AI development, robot training and operations, and digital twin construction.

KT shares AX insights to spread entrepreneurship to future talent

KT shared entrepreneurship needed in the AI era and insights on AI transformation with future talent, it said. Park Sang-won (박상원), head of KT’s AX business division, delivered a special lecture on June 5 at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeouido, Seoul, as part of the Korea Enterprises Federation’s Elite Internship Course. The lecture targeted about 120 university students and included a Q&A session.
