Mirae Asset Management AUM tops 600 trillion won; growth accelerates with ETFs, pensions and AI
Mirae Asset Management said its total assets under management reached 624 trillion won as of end-April, surpassing 600 trillion won. It attributed growth to its global ETF business, the expansion of domestic TIGER ETFs, and broader businesses including pensions, OCIO and real estate. Its Global X unit runs 747 ETFs across 13 markets. The firm is also expanding tokenised ETF offerings and reported strong growth in a semiconductor-themed TIGER ETF.

Naver Map expands \'Flying View 3D\' across Seoul
Naver is expanding the coverage of its 3D virtual exploration feature, Flying View 3D, to all of Seoul within its map application. The service recreates real-world spaces such as landmarks, natural scenery and historic sites in three dimensions. Users can access the feature by selecting image markers for major locations including Yeouido 63 Square, Jamsil Sports Complex and the National Assembly building. The Seoul-wide version is built using S-Map data and high-resolution drone imagery.

Lotte Chemical posts 73.5 billion won Q1 operating profit, swings to profit
Lotte Chemical said on May 11 it posted first-quarter sales of 4.99 trillion won and an operating profit of 73.5 billion won, swinging to a profit from a year earlier. Net profit came to 33.5 billion won. The company said it improved profitability through more agile feedstock sourcing and flexible operating rate adjustments despite rising raw material prices and increased geopolitical risks in the Middle East.
