[Digital Today reporter Hojeong Lee (이호정)] Devsisters said on Sunday it has formally launched the 'K-Heritage with CookieRun' campaign in Busan, host city of the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee organised by the Korea Heritage Service, to promote South Korea's World Heritage sites.

The event runs for 10 days through July 29 online and offline at the UNESCO World Heritage Committee's South Korea pavilion (K-Heritage House) set up at BEXCO Exhibition Center 1 and at major locations across Busan.

At a special exhibition at BEXCO, Devsisters is presenting physical posters of 17 World Heritage properties in South Korea, reinterpreted in CookieRun's style. The works, created by more than 20 Devsisters artists, combine the excellence of the country's heritage with CookieRun's distinctive universe. A large 1.5-metre-wide illustration titled 'CookieRun K-Heritage Theme Park', depicting an amusement park gathering Korea's World Heritage sites, is also on display.

A photo zone and a pop-up store opened at the event plaza at Haeundae Beach. Three photo zones were set up, featuring a 7-metre-tall Brave Cookie and themes of tidal flats, Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple, and Jongmyo Shrine. The pop-up store sells limited-edition souvenirs and new character goods, and weekend-only lucky boxes sold out for the day within 30 minutes of the store opening.

A Busan city tour bus programme themed around CookieRun, 'Brave Cookie Tour in Busan', is also running through Aug. 16 to visit major attractions. A 'K-Heritage special course' operating only during the committee session sold out all seats within three minutes of ticket sales opening on June 25.

On July 25 to 26, in collaboration with the National Research Institute of Maritime Heritage, Brave Cookie will appear on a Joseon Tongsinsa ship at a photo zone at Yongho Bay in Busan. From July 27 to 29, it can also be seen at a photo zone at the institute's booth inside BEXCO. CookieRun has been taking part in a commemorative voyage of the Joseon Tongsinsa ship, starting in Goheung on July 11 and continuing through Yeosu and Tongyeong to Busan.

An online event has also been prepared for global users who find it difficult to visit in person. Devsisters has been running the 'UNESCO World Heritage Committee X CookieRun, South Korea World Heritage Digital Exhibition' since July 3 through social media including its official X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts. It released in advance 17 posters and Korean and English versions of the work descriptions, and the content has recorded about 8 million combined global views.
