AI product verification certificate draws attention as Korea moves to lower entry barriers to public AI market

South Korea will introduce an AI product verification certificate scheme under the AI Basic Act, aimed at lowering barriers for AI firms entering the public market. The certificate is not a formal certification but an alternative way to prove technical requirements in procurement, a lawyer said. KOSA will accept and issue applications, while TTA will conduct technical reviews. Products with certificates will receive eased requirements, including waived delivery records and credit ratings, and bid evaluation advantages.

JobKorea, an AI- and data-based HR tech platform operated by WorkSphere, held the HR conference HReka 26 on Aug. 27 at GS Tower in Seoul’s Yeoksam-dong and shared HR trends. The company organised sessions focused on AI transformation in recruitment and HR, AI organisation management and data-driven performance management. Toss Payments signs strategic MOU with Visa to boost payment competitiveness at home and abroad

Toss Payments, Toss’s payment gateway affiliate, is moving to cooperate with global payments company Visa to strengthen payment security and advance services. Toss Payments said on Sept. 8 it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Visa on Sept. 7 in Seoul’s Gangnam district. The two companies plan to explore cooperation in domestic and overseas payment markets, based on their technologies, operating capabilities and global networks.
