Toss Payments, a payment gateway (PG) affiliate of Toss, is moving to cooperate with global payments company Visa to strengthen payment security and advance services.
Toss Payments said on Sept. 8 it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Visa on Sept. 7 at Arc Place in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam district, Seoul.
The two companies plan to explore ways to cooperate in domestic and overseas payment markets, based on their payment technologies, operating capabilities and global networks. They agreed to identify joint tasks in stages, focusing on strengthening payment security and upgrading payment services.
Toss Payments plans to improve payment services for merchants and users by linking its domestic payment technology and operating experience with Visa's global payment network.
Kim Gyu-ha (김규하), vice president of Toss, said, "With the agreement with Visa as an opportunity, we will expand business cooperation in various areas." He said, "We will provide customers and merchants with a safer and more convenient payment experience."
