South Korea’s Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission said location accuracy and compliance rates for emergency location information provided by the country’s three mobile carriers improved. The commission published results of its 2025 quality tests covering cell tower, GPS and WiFi positioning across 170 sites nationwide. Accuracy improved across methods, while response times increased for cell tower and GPS. Apple iPhone results were included for the first time, and Apple said it plans to improve response times by early next year.

Global memory supply may meet only 60 percent of demand through 2027, as capacity additions focus on AI server high-bandwidth memory and lag fast-rising demand.
