Wrtn posts 47.1 billion won 2025 sales, 58.8 billion won operating loss; sales up 15-fold
Wrtn Technologies, an AI service platform company, said on April 14 its 2025 annual results showed revenue growth of about 15 times from a year earlier. In external audit financial statements disclosed for the first time in its fifth year since founding, the company posted sales of about 47.1 billion won, up 1,432.9 percent from about 3.0 billion won a year earlier. Operating expenses rose to about 105.9 billion won and the operating loss widened to about 58.8 billion won.

South Korea to pick K-Startup of the Year 2026, raises prize to 500 million won
South Korea launched its largest multi-ministry startup competition, K-Startup of the Year 2026, with an integrated announcement on March 27. Nine ministries will jointly run the contest, which was revamped from Challenge! K-Startup and refocused on early-stage firms alongside a new startup project for aspiring founders. The top prize rises to 500 million won, and follow-up support expands to the top 20 teams. An AI league is newly added among 12 leagues.

Lawmaker Lee Hae-min holds roundtable with young developers at Wrtn Technologies
Lee Hae-min (이해민), a lawmaker from the Rebuilding Korea Party and a member of the National Assembly’s Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee, held a roundtable on Feb. 24 with young AI startup developers and product managers. The meeting at AI service platform firm Wrtn Technologies included employees in their 20s and 30s working across AI agents, character chat, development automation tools, content services, marketing and product planning. Lee answered questions and said decisions should focus on user benefits.
