Wrtn Technologies is accelerating its push into the enterprise AX market based on its experience operating B2C services and its multi-large language model (LLM) strategy.

Wrtn Technologies set up Wrtn AX, an internal independent company (CIC), in late September last year to step up its enterprise AX push. Wrtn AX is led by CEO Park Min-jun (박민준), a former product owner (PO) of the AI portal service Wrtn. The organisation has around 30 people.

Wrtn AX places the greatest emphasis on its experience operating B2C AI services.

Wrtn Technologies operates multiple AI services, including Wrtn, the AI character chat platform Crack, and Charapu, the Japanese version of Crack. Wrtn AX said operating AI services used by millions of users allowed it to experience issues such as rising token costs and traffic surges earlier. It productised solutions built for internal use into an enterprise product lineup to address those problems.

A key example is AI customer service (AICC). It is a service in which AI handles call centre and chatbot counselling. It turned counselling data and operational know-how accumulated while running Wrtn into an AI service. It consists of an “AI Advisor” mode to assist counsellors and an unmanned counselling agent. Wrtn AX said it delivered a 35 percent productivity improvement and a 73 percent reduction in counselling working hours for companies that adopted it.

Another example is AutoBE, an agent that automatically generates backend servers. It is an AI code agent that automatically creates backend applications, from database design to API specifications, testing and implementation, when users enter requirements in natural language. Wrtn said it applied the tool first to internal work such as customer service, finance and coding, and completed in 2 weeks work that used to take 10 people 3 months, using 6 people.

Other enterprise products from Wrtn AX include AI document analysis that converts Korean documents, images and Excel files into text; AI data analysis that turns natural-language queries into data analysis queries; automated creation of PPTs and reports; a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) chatbot for internal document search; and an enterprise version of Wrtn for companies and educational institutions.

As a differentiator from other systems integrators, it is promoting an “AX Triangle” strategy that bundles consulting, training and implementation. The concept is to diagnose workflow bottlenecks through consulting and provide training so practitioners can use AI skillfully, in addition to building AI services.

In competing with global AI companies such as OpenAI and Anthropic, it is putting forward a multi-LLM strategy. Since 2022, the Wrtn platform has provided services by combining multiple LLMs such as GPT, HyperCLOVA X, Claude and Gemini. Wrtn AX said it has therefore accumulated orchestration know-how in combining LLMs. It said it focuses on service usefulness that users can feel by optimising quality, speed and cost through orchestration rather than model development.

Wrtn AX set a revenue target of 10 billion won this year. Its client list includes KT, LG Electronics, Shinsegae, KB Kookmin Bank and the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund. Industries include finance, manufacturing, public sector, education and games. How long it can hold out with only B2C operating experience and model-combination capabilities, without the capital and infrastructure of large SI firms or global AI companies such as OpenAI and Anthropic, will be key. Wrtn Technologies is currently seeking Series C investment funding. It is in the nature of pre-IPO financing.

Wrtn AX CEO Park said, “From the perspective of contributing to the AI transformation of key domestic industries, we are turning technologies gained from directly operating AI services into solutions.” He added, “Supporting enterprise customers’ revenue creation and cost reduction is the core.”
