The Generative AI Startup Association will hold an AI startup meetup day on Jan. 20 at Tokyo Innovation Base in Tokyo. The event will bring together 8 leading AI startups from South Korea and Japan.
Backed by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the event is co-hosted by the association, the Tokyo office of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency and Japanese venture capital firm Z Venture Capital (ZVC), led by CEO Injun Hwang. It was arranged for Korean and Japanese startups to discuss AI transformation issues together and seek mutual cooperation.
Participants from South Korea include Wrtn Technologies, PsionicAI, SnapTag, Coxwave and FriendlyAI in Korean alphabetical order. Participants from Japan include Dwilar and Findy in ABC order.
SnapTag CEO Kyungwoong Min plans to introduce in detail a free project to provide the 'K-Safe public API' to improve transparency and reliability of AI services, in line with the AI Basic Act to take effect in South Korea on Jan. 22.
Jungwook Lim, co-CEO of Startup Alliance, and Masaki Yuda, a ZVC partner, will take the stage as special speakers and deliver keynotes that closely analyse AI transformation issues and the role of startups. In a fireside chat led by Lim with key presenters, participants will broadly cover the latest AI transformation technology trends, on-the-ground challenges and cooperation plans, while actively seeking ways to create AI transformation synergies.
