Mobileye founder to step down as CEO ahead of robotaxi push, leadership gap looms
Mobileye founder Amnon Shashua (암논 샤슈아) plans to step down as chief executive after about 30 years, remaining in the role until a successor is chosen. The change comes as Mobileye broadens its business into robotaxis and humanoid robots, beyond supplying chips to automakers. The company began as a computer-vision chip maker and later grew into a key supplier for safety and driver-assistance functions. Intel bought Mobileye for $15.3 billion in 2017 and remains its largest shareholder.

Xpeng unveils \'physical AI\' strategy in Europe spanning EVs, robots and flying cars
Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng unveiled its compact SUV L03 in Munich and outlined a business expansion strategy it calls \"physical AI\" that links cars, humanoid robots, flying cars and power systems using in-house AI chips and large language models. The L03 is priced at 35,600 euros and offers up to 445 km of range under WLTP. Xpeng said it will integrate Google Maps in overseas models and aims for Level 4 autonomous driving by 2028.
