South Korea\'s National Assembly Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee adopted a hearing report on Go Gwang-heon (고광헌), nominee for the first chair of the Broadcast Media Communications Review Commission. The report was approved under the leadership of the Democratic Party after People Power Party lawmakers did not take part in the vote. The report will be sent to the government without a plenary vote. Go will take office if President Lee Jae-myung approves it.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin urged developers to comprehensively reassess how applications are built on Ethereum, The Block reported. He said core protocol security should be preserved, but developers need a more experimental mindset and more freedom to challenge long-held assumptions about decentralised application design. Buterin highlighted privacy as a priority, saying much of the current application stack would need rebuilding. He also outlined possible shifts in DeFi, oracle design and AI-driven user access.
