The heads of Samsung Electronics, SK and Naver are set to meet Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in the United States this week, industry officials said. The roundtable near Silicon Valley is likely on July 24, with possible participation by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei. Talks are expected to cover HBM supply, chip foundry work and cooperation linked to AI infrastructure, including Naver’s AI factory plan.

Bitcoin shaken by U.S. Treasury yields as safe-haven narrative breaks
Rising long-term U.S. Treasury yields are weighing on bitcoin as stocks and bonds weaken together, undermining the role Treasuries once played in cushioning equity declines. UBS pointed to a 2-month rolling correlation of -0.69 between the S&P 500 and the 10-year yield, the lowest since 1996, suggesting the assets are moving together in an unusual way. Higher 30-year yields, widening deficits and softer overseas demand are worsening long-bond conditions, while bitcoin faces higher opportunity costs and weaker risk appetite.

AI price war heats up as Altman says OpenAI can offer one-quarter of Anthropic price
OpenAI has signalled it could further cut prices for its latest AI model. Sam Altman wrote on X that its flagship GPT-5.6 Sol is already priced at about half of Anthropic’s Claude Fable5 and could be supplied at one-quarter if needed. OpenAI last week set GPT-5.6 Sol pricing at $5 per 1 million input tokens and $30 per 1 million output tokens.
