LG Uplus secures 6.1 million U+one users with AI and content push

LG Uplus said on Oct. 27 that monthly active users of its integrated customer platform U+one reached about 6.1 million, a record high. The company said August MAU stood at 6,096,384, up about 1.02 million, or 20.2 percent, from 5.08 million in October last year before it integrated its customer service app and membership app. It cited AI-based telecom task handling and stronger content and benefits.

LG Uplus to roll out automatic SIM updates from Oct. 22 to boost security

LG Uplus will begin rolling out automatic SIM and eSIM updates from Oct. 22 to protect customer information, allowing users to receive strengthened security without applying or visiting stores. The company said it moved the start date forward by about a month from November. It has introduced a new security system since April and continued SIM updates and free replacements. As of Oct. 20, about 6,589,000 people had completed an update or replacement.

LGU+ to triple long-term customer invitation events next year to 24 a year

LGU+ will triple its invitation programs for long-term customers next year to 24 events a year, moving beyond discount-focused benefits and strengthening experience-based programs reflecting customer preferences. The plan follows analysis of about 32,000 pieces of feedback, with 46.9 percent of membership-related comments calling for special treatment for long-term use. LGU+ also plans to expand online programs and segment membership benefits by customer interests.
