LG Uplus on Saturday released video content showing how it incorporates customer ideas submitted through its customer-participation service, Simply Lab, into services to innovate customers' telecom experience.

Simply Lab is a customer-participation service that allows customers to directly convey inconveniences or improvement ideas to LG Uplus. Under LG Uplus' "Simply. U+" philosophy of making everyday life simpler, it reviews customer ideas and shares the process through to turning them into services and features.

LG Uplus added Simply Lab to its integrated application, U+one, in November last year. About 10,000 customer ideas have been submitted so far.

Customers can suggest inconveniences or wishes from their telecom lives as a "free topic," as well as monthly "topic of the month" prompts. LG Uplus gives priority to reviewing ideas that receive a lot of empathy and shares with customers whether services will actually be improved and the progress status.

LG Uplus released "Your story that arrived at U+" and its follow-up, "A daughter's unfamiliar voice." The video content, released on its official YouTube channel and newsroom, includes concerns from real customers left through Simply Lab about their telecom lives.

It includes a request for automatic summaries of call content, as well as a child's wish for parents to be safe from financial scams or voice phishing risks, concerns about making it easy for parents to manage a child's first smartphone use, and a demand to understand mobile charges and usage conditions at a glance.

LG Uplus plans to expand a people-centred, empathy-driven brand narrative through a "Voice series" that focuses on each person's voice, starting with this content.

Joon-young Jang (장준영), head of LG Uplus' marketing group, said, "Starting with stories that contain customers' sincere feelings, we will continue to create changes that people can truly experience as 'Simply. U+', from the fundamentals of telecommunications to innovative customer experiences."
