LG Uplus said on Oct. 27 that monthly active users (MAU) of its integrated customer platform U+one reached about 6.1 million, a record high.

U+one is a platform that combines telecom services such as bill checks and payments with membership benefits and content. Its MAU in August was tallied at 6,096,384. That was up about 1.02 million, or 20.2 percent, from 5.08 million in October last year, before the integration of its customer service app and the "Your U+" membership app.

LG Uplus cited AI-based telecom task handling features and stronger content and benefits as reasons for the increase. Its flagship "AI Search" feature helps customers find needed information using everyday wording even if they do not know the exact menu or service name. For example, if a customer asks, "Why is my bill higher than last month?" it checks billed amounts and discount details and explains the cause of the change.

LG Uplus is upgrading AI Search into an "AI agent" that supports not only information delivery but also the execution of tasks. Based on a customer's usage information, it recommends suitable roaming products and, after customer verification, links to subscription. It also supports handling everything from bill checks to payment in a single conversation.

Use of the content and benefits channel "Plus(+)" also increased. It is a space designed to let customers return to U+one even when they have no telecom tasks. LG Uplus is working with external partners such as Hyundai Card DIVE and Longblack and is expanding participatory content such as voting and comments.

The number of monthly users of Plus more than doubled from the time of its launch. Customers who use Plus accessed U+one twice as often as those who do not, and their time spent was 5.3 times longer.

Its results in improving customer experience were also recognized. LG Uplus ranked No. 1 for a third straight year in the mobile communications category of the 2026 Digital Customer Experience Index (DCXI) hosted by the Korea Standards Association. The Plus channel won a platinum award at the ICT Awards Korea 2026.

Kang Jin-wook (강진욱), executive director and head of LG Uplus' Mobile and Digital Business Group, said, "Going forward, through hyper-personalization, we will further reduce the inconvenience of customers having to find information themselves, and provide an experience where AI first suggests what is needed at the right moment and connects through to execution."
