Toss, SBI Savings Bank launch mid-rate loans for middle-to-low credit borrowers

Viva Republica, operator of Toss, will introduce mid-rate credit loans for middle-to-low credit borrowers with SBI Savings Bank using alternative credit assessment. Toss said it signed a business agreement with SBI Savings Bank on July 16 in Seoul to expand inclusive finance. The product, SBI Inclusive Loan with Toss, is set to launch on July 27 and will be available only through the Toss app, with annual interest rates of 7.9 to 13.5 percent.

Toss launches customised government support search service with Korea Inclusive Finance Agency

Viva Republica, the operator of the Toss app, launched a service with the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency that lets users check and apply at once for finance, employment and welfare support programmes. The service recommends government support tailored to an individual’s situation and allows applications to be submitted remotely within the app. It is linked to the agency’s “Seomin Finance Ita” platform and connects users to phone consultations with specialist counsellors after forms are completed.

Toss launches dormant deposit recovery service with SDFa

Viva Republica, operator of the Toss app, has launched a service that lets users check and reclaim dormant deposits scattered across multiple financial institutions in one place. Toss said on June 5 it rolled out the service with the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency. Users can apply remotely without submitting documents or visiting institutions, and approved amounts are paid immediately as Toss Pay Money. The service covers dormant deposits of 500,000 won or less.
