Viva Republica, the operator of Toss, is rolling out a service with the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency that allows users to check and apply at once for financial, employment and welfare support programmes. The service is designed to improve access by letting users receive recommendations tailored to their personal circumstances and proceed with remote applications within the Toss app.

Toss said on Tuesday it launched the “Find the Right Government Support for Me” service with the agency.

The service is provided in connection with the agency’s “Seomin Finance Ita”. Users can be guided to combined support programmes that fit their needs in the Toss app and complete the application process without installing a separate app.

The combined support service helps low-income and vulnerable groups receive counselling on multiple difficulties including finance, employment and welfare, and be connected to relevant institutions.

Users can search for “Find the Right Government Support for Me” in the app’s 전체 tab and, after agreeing to a public MyData query, receive recommendations for combined support programmes tailored to their personal situation. After completing an application form and consent form, they are connected to phone consultations with specialist counsellors at each institution.

The agency plans to strengthen the combined support service by expanding linked areas in the second half of this year to include public healthcare, old age and small business sectors, among others.

A Toss official said, “We prepared this so that people can be guided to and apply for government support programmes more conveniently through the Toss app.” The official added, “We will continue to reduce complicated procedures, lower barriers to inclusive finance, and work with related institutions to put inclusive finance into practice.”
