Viva Republica, operator of the Toss app, said on Tuesday that the conversion rate at its partner financial firms improved by an average of 48 percent through its WebView in Toss feature, which connects partners' webpages directly inside the app.

WebView in Toss connects users so they can move from credit-limit checks to applications inside the Toss app without installing a separate financial firm app or switching to an external browser.

Toss said it compared conversion rates over the same period between customers using WebView in Toss and those using the existing method for financial firms that applied the feature from 2023 to early February 2026. It found results were 48 percent higher on average. The analysis was conducted based on loan products.

The improving trend was also clear by sector. Conversion rates rose by double digits or more in both the first and second banking sectors. Based on periods before and after adopting WebView in Toss, some savings banks saw improvements of up to 347 percent, and double-digit gains were also confirmed at card companies and banks.

Thirty financial firms currently operate WebView in Toss on Toss' loan service. Toss said it directly supports the entire process at no additional cost, from UI and UX design and development to testing, post-launch operational stabilisation and further improvements.

A Toss official said, "WebView in Toss is a structure that reduces customer drop-off during applications to increase financial accessibility, while bringing tangible performance improvements to financial firms," adding, "We will continue to work to create a convenient financial environment that satisfies both financial firms and customers."
