BitMine buys 101,901 more ether, total holdings rise to 5,078,386 ETH

BitMine Immersion Technologies bought an additional 101,901 ether last week, lifting its total holdings to 5,078,386 ETH. CoinDesk reported the holding equals about 4.21 percent of ether in circulation and the purchase is worth about $236 million at current prices. Chairman Tom Lee called crossing 5 million ether an important milestone toward securing 5 percent of supply. The company said it stakes about 3.7 million ether and is expanding staking services.

Ripple executive says no gap between XRP price and demand as ETF and real use grow together

Ripple rejected claims that XRP\'s price is disconnected from real demand, saying it is expanding both as an investment asset and as financial infrastructure. Senior vice president Markus Infanger (마르쿠스 인팡거) said real-world use is steadily growing alongside investor interest. Ripple cited a rise in tokenised assets on the XRP Ledger to more than $2 billion and said a U.S. spot XRP ETF could boost liquidity and payment efficiency. He also said RLUSD complements, not replaces, XRP.

The milestone triggered a countdown toward a MEGA token generation event targeted for next Thursday. The project previously tied its token release schedule to performance-based KPIs rather than a fixed timeline. Conditions include expanding its native stablecoin USDM circulation to $500 million and meeting app revenue targets, alongside usage and fee benchmarks for apps built on MegaETH.
