[Digital Today reporter Yoonseo Lee] Evernode, an XRP treasury firm, has teased a special announcement at Swell 2026, which will be held in New York from Oct. 27 to 29.

The Crypto Basic, a blockchain media outlet, reported on Oct. 20 that Evernode posted on X, formerly Twitter, that special news is planned for Ripple Swell 2026. It did not disclose details.

The news came a week ahead of the opening of Ripple's annual event. Ripple Swell brings together financial institutions, payments companies, regulators and people from the cryptocurrency industry to discuss blockchain and digital finance. This year's event will be held at The Shed in Hudson Yards, New York.

The list of Swell partners includes Ondo, RedotPay, SALT Conference, Water, the XRP Ledger Foundation, XRPL Commons and ZILO. This year, Ripple Swell will be held together with XRP Ledger (XRPL) Apex and UBRI Connect, bringing financial firms, blockchain developers and academic researchers together in one place.

Market interest has grown amid Evernode's recent listing history. Evernode listed on Nasdaq this month under the ticker XRPN. The company is focusing on a structure that holds and manages XRP in the form of a listed company. Its chief executive officer is Ashish Birla (애시시 벌라), formerly of Ripple, while Brad Garlinghouse (브래드 갈링하우스), Ripple CEO, and David Schwartz (데이비드 슈워츠), XRPL co-founder, serve on its advisory board.

The agenda for Swell 2026 is also fuelling expectations for Evernode's announcement. The event will cover institutional adoption, tokenisation, stablecoins, digital asset management and the future direction of XRPL as key topics. Ripple is also set to share updates related to payments, stablecoins, treasury management and the use of XRP.

A session titled "Building the Future of XRPL" will be held on Oct. 28. David Schwartz and Ripple engineering director Ayo Akinyiele (아요 아키니엘레) will attend. The session will discuss progress in developing technologies for privacy, artificial intelligence (AI), decentralised finance (DeFi), scalability and financial institutions.

Other sessions are set to cover AI-based payment automation, tokenisation of real-world assets (RWA) and ways financial institutions can use blockchain. Speakers will also include representatives from financial and technology companies such as Robinhood, BNY, CME Group and Coinbase Institutional.

As a result, attention is focused on what role Evernode's announcement will present within a trend of institution-centred XRP use and XRP Ledger expansion, rather than remaining a single company notice. But since the company has issued only a teaser without further explanation, the actual content is expected to be confirmed at the event venue.
