FCC grants Intel exemption on foreign-made robots for U.S. chip plants

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission granted Intel an exemption for foreign-made automated guided vehicles used at its U.S. semiconductor plants, allowing the company to partly avoid import restrictions in force since July. TI integrates open-source Zephyr Project into production environments to support CRA compliance

Texas Instruments said it will expand support for the open-source real-time operating system Zephyr Project across its embedded product lineup, including microcontrollers, microprocessors and wireless connectivity devices. TI said it will offer an integrated development environment that can be used directly in mass production, aiming to cut development time and help developers build systems that comply with the EU Cyber Resilience Act. TI also said it will provide regular SDK updates and migration guidance.
