AI startup Upstage on Monday unveiled its in-house large language model, Solar Pro 3. The model has 102 billion parameters, more than triple the size of its predecessor, Solar Pro 2. The company said performance improved by more than twofold on key benchmarks including agent capability, coding and instruction following, while costs and throughput speed remained the same as the previous version. It also said reasoning improved using its SnapPO reinforcement learning technique.

Stripe said blockchain infrastructure needs to scale to 1 billion transactions per second to handle transactions made by AI agents. Patrick Collison (패트릭 콜리슨), Stripe\'s CEO, and co-founder John Collison (존 콜리슨) made the point in an annual letter, Cointelegraph reported on Wednesday. Solana and Internet Computer Protocol are among the fastest blockchains, but Stripe said their throughput would still be insufficient if AI agents become widely deployed.
