NCSoft launches global service for Aion 2, tops Steam global revenue rankings
NCSoft\'s MMORPG Aion 2 has begun global early access and climbed to No. 1 on Steam\'s global revenue rankings. The company said early access started on Sept. 30 local time. Buyers of the founders pack can play ahead of the official launch, which is scheduled to begin on Oct. 5. The global service is available via Steam and Purple, with servers in four regions and support for eight languages.

G-Star expands indie showcase to link developers, publishers and engine-platform firms
G-Star will expand its indie game exhibition this year into an ecosystem-style program linking developers with publishers and game engine and platform companies. A total of 106 developers will take part, up from last year, and the event will broaden touchpoints beyond demos to developer networking, online promotion and investment connections. G-Star 2026 runs Nov. 19-22 at BEXCO in Busan, with a 250-booth Indie Showcase 2.0 area split into four zones.

Governments are struggling to decide how to respond to rapidly advancing AI, with laws and policy debates quickly losing relevance, the New York Times reported. International talks have also failed to produce concrete follow-up measures. U.S. President Donald Trump rejected attempts to build a global system to control AI, while the European Union faces calls to revise its 2024 AI law. South Korea has fully implemented its AI framework law but faces demands for amendments.
