[DigitalToday reporter Lee Ho-jung (이호정)] Smilegate Stove will present its new psychological mystery visual novel, 'Psycho Sleuth', at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2026.
Smilegate Stove said on Sept. 15 it will unveil a demo version of Psycho Sleuth at its TGS 2026 booth at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, through Sept. 21.
Psycho Sleuth is a PC game developed by Fosepo and co-published by Thermite Games and Smilegate Stove. It is scheduled to be released on Nov. 5 via Stove and Steam.
The game follows events that unfold after 13 people with cognitive impairments are trapped in a death game. Each character has a different "byeongneung," and these abilities directly affect the deduction process and gameplay progression.
The culprit distorts the user's view and controls to hinder investigations. The user combines clues and finds contradictions in "argument mode" to track the case. The main goal is to identify the killer behind the scenes as false information spreads.
The content includes a scenario of more than 500,000 characters, full voice acting for key scenes, about 40 types of CG, dozens of 3D backgrounds, Live2D animations, and more than 50 original background music tracks.
As a co-publisher, Stove will handle Korean localization and marketing for domestic service. The release version will support Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese.
At its TGS booth, Stove will also present the 2D action RPG "Detained: Too Good for School" alongside Psycho Sleuth.
